I now understand the true meaning of this painting. The sun rays fall on the work field and the work tools, and not on the church. It depicts how God wants us to honor our work no matter how hard it is. I am blown away.

I believe this paining is supposed to represent a time when the church bells ring, and everything stops. Even workers lay down their tools to bow their heads and pray.
